Permanent Makeup is NOT what it used to be many years ago, please read the following information before considering an appointment at Pinup Ink.
First and foremost, Pinup Ink has a strict NO GUEST POLICY! We truly value our pinups and the time we spend together in the studio. Cosmetic tattooing also involves tattooing of the face, therefore we ask clients to avoid bringing any guests to their appointment. Things are more relaxed, less distractions and more efficient guaranteed. Unless a translator or medical assistance is needed, please contact Pinup Ink directly!
Permanent makeup does not replace your at home makeup completely, it's meant to enhance your natural features and help compensate your everyday routine.
Pinup Ink goes for a sterile medical office environment, but with a fun spin on it! This requires the investment in high quality disposable equipment, which most definitely costs more, but client safety is priceless!
YES permanent makeup is an investment, but once you are a client at Pinup Ink, it actually PAYS OFF to have it done in the long run! The annual pricing is there, but broken down the maintenance is much less than repetitive waxes, laminations, tints, buying and using makeup pencils/lipsticks, walking around with no proper shaping- or you can wake up with a perfect face card DAILY! It's a no brainer!
With that being said, there is a $700 new client introductory rate to have any style of brows or lips done, then a $300 touch-up session up to 6 months post procedure to complete the tattoo. (You may come in for more than one touch-up if needed, but it's rare.) Also if the client wants a whole new shade or style, it's coming right up at no extra cost! When talking about lips, this is actually less maintenance, less cost and more powerful than lip injections if you really think about it. Even once the 1-3 years go by, you will receive Pinup Loyalty Pricing to essentially revisit the tattoo, and bring it back to perfection! *Each session you receive at Pinup Ink also includes an aftercare kit and post care instructions to ensure safe healing every time.
Permanent makeup is not a one and done thing. Modern day styles are supposed to fade out so new ink can be deposited into the skin. We're also going for natural work here, not your Grandma's cosmetic tattoo. (Sorry Grandma!) You will need touch-up sessions roughly every 1-3 years (sometimes up to 5) depending on skin type and environmental factors. SPF IS YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND! (If very oily skin, expect potential fading more often. Lips you can also touch up more often if you're a fun one and like to switch it up or pump up the juice!) At the end of the day, when it comes to strokes in particular, they are not real hairs, and ink is still ink therefore it can shift or fade away, and potentially discolor but very unlikely with newer techniques. Touch-up sessions are actually very important and should not be taken lightly, especially if the client wishes to keep the tattoo looking very natural for years to come. This includes but not limited to color correction, shape enhancement, further detail, etc.
Kati has been tattooing in general for about 8 years! If you have had your brows done at any shops she has previously worked at, and they are now potentially a discolored shade or a bit oversaturated (it happens as we grow, thank you for the endless support), you may contact Pinup Ink to seek removal options partnered with a local Bay View clinic. If you wish to have your brows redone you will still receive Pinup Loyalty Pricing!
Results aren't always guaranteed, just as much as any cosmetic procedure on the market, despite it being tattooing. Permanent makeup is not only an art, but more importantly a science and definitely not a "one size fits all." We are both only human, please allow at least two sessions before proper judgement.
This brings us to PRECARE & AFTERCARE. These two very important factors WILL affect your end results. Permanent makeup is a form of tattooing, therefore it is a wound and needs to be cared for like one. Any directions that are not followed properly will result in either having to reschedule your session or needing an additional session at your expense.
Last but not least, with the permanent makeup industry increasing at an exponential rate, along comes many untrained artists out there with lack of education when it comes to proper microblading/tattooing knowledge. Keep in mind this is your face, as well as a form of permanency! This alone should make your decision on choosing an artist that much more important!
